How to sew the round pouch

Today’s handcrafted goods is “round pouch".

Materials

Outer body fabrics, circle shape (10.5cm diameter) are 2 pieces. (0.8cm seam allowances are included, attach interfacing)

Fusible interfacing gives fabric firmness, and keeps shape of pouch.

Outer upper gussets, 3.1cm by 15.6cm are 2 pieces. (0.8cm seam allowances are included, attach interfacing)

Outer bottom gusset, 5.6cm by 15.6cm is 1 piece. (0.8cm seam allowances are included, attach interfacing)

Inner body fabrics, circle shape (10.5cm diameter) are 2 pieces. (0.8cm seam allowances are included)

Inner upper gussets, 3.1cm by 15.6cm are 2 pieces. (0.8cm seam allowances are included)

For tab, tape or ribbon is 1 piece. (1.5cm by 6cm)

Double-fold bias tape, 11mm by 34cm are 2 pieces.

Make pouch body

1. Baste the outer and inner with right side out together.

2. Fold the tab in half, and baste the fabric together.

1. Sew the outer upper gusset and zipper with right side together.

2. Sew the outer upper gusset and inner upper gusset with right side together.

3. Fold the fabrics, and iron. Then stitch the edge.

4. Sew the other side of zipper, do the same way.

5. Sew the upper gusset and bottom gussets together.

6. Turn inside out, and press seam allowances to bottom gusset side. Then stitch.

1. Make a cut in the seam allowances of gusset.

2. Sew the body and gusset with right side together. (Use the Iron-on double-sided fusible tape, better.)

3. Sew the other side, do the same way.

4. Bind the seam allowances with bias tapes. It’s done.
